Rumaila lawsuit hearing set for Jan. 11

Iraqi federal court hears government defense, postpones hearing and fate of contracting process until Jan. 11.

BAGHDAD - A federal court in Baghdad Tuesday heard the arguments of Member of Parliament Sheda Musawi's attorney and government defense in a lawsuit aimed at invalidating the Rumaila oilfield development contract signed with BP and the Chinese National Petroleum Corp.

The next court session is set for Jan. 11.
