Strategic KRG pipelines near completion

In a major step towards greater energy sector efficiency – and autonomy from Baghdad – Kurdistan is almost done building the first leg of key gas and oil pipelines.

TAQ TAQ - Retrofitted construction trucks turn rock into dust, cutting through the jagged hillside, clearing a straight path for Kurdistan's new oil pipeline through the region's difficult terrain.

Soon, more than four times the amount of crude will be sent from the Taq Taq oil field to the Khurmala Dome depot than is currently loaded by tanker truck.
