Subba field risks shut-down

After just six months in production, the Subba field is faltering due to bureaucratic dysfunction, tight budgets, and insufficient processing infrastructure.

NASSIRIYA - Production is dropping at the state-run Subba oil field as the project hits major technical problems just months after it came into operation.

"It is possible the field will stop entirely in a month or two," said a senior official at the state-run Dhi Qar Oil Company (DQOC), which operates the field.
