Thamir Ghadhban to review first bid round

Former oil minister tapped to lead committee tasked with reviewing June 30 auction of eight oil and gas fields.

BAGHDAD - Thamir Ghadhban, two-time post-2003 oil minister and current head of the prime minister’s advisors, has been chosen to lead a review of the first oil and gas bid round.

"The decision issued by the council of ministers says that the council of ministers have decided to form a neutral committee to assess the first licensing open round only," said Ghadhban. "We have started our work and very soon we will give our recommendations to the council of ministers."
