Export infrastructure deal latest of oil re-investment
Iraq has awarded a $469 million deal to Italy's Saipam to build new export infrastructure, one of many announcements this week including a Kirkuk field rehab program.

BAGHDAD - Iraq's Cabinet this week approved a two-year, $468.5 million contract with Italian firm Saipam to build a new metering and export platform near Iraq's current southern oil terminals, which could double current export levels.
Saipam outbid Australian firm Leighton by more than $30 million, the statement from government spokesman Ali Dabbagh said.
